Recycling District Announces Saturday Household Chemical Disposal Date

The Johnson County Recycling District will be open for residential HHW collection, Saturday, May 30 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. by APPOINTMENT ONLY to the first 100 residents who register. 

The site location for this collection will be at 900 Arvin Road in Franklin. Visit our website to schedule your appointment and PLEASE follow all instructions provided in your e-mail. 

All materials need to be placed in the trunk, hatch or truck bed for this collection. NO ONE WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT WILL BE SEEN. 

The following items are accepted: Household Cleaning Supplies, Yard and Pool Chemicals, Automotive Fluids, Poisons, Aerosol Can, Adhesives, Oil-based paint, and stain. No latex paint, bulbs or batteries will be accepted! Open for Johnson County residents only. No businesses, contractors or small quantity generators will be accepted.
