We have first rate private and public K-12 schools and premier universities nearby. We are home to Franklin College, a leading liberal arts institution, and Ivy Tech Franklin Campus, a two year technical college.

From primary to world-class specialized care, Johnson County and Southern Indianapolis feature outstanding healthcare providers.

Johnson Memorial Health’s main campus is in Franklin, with primary and specialized care centers in Greenwood, Whiteland and White River Township. They are completing a new comprehensive expansion that includes a state-of-the-art emergency and outpatient center.

Community Health Network and Franciscan Alliance have major hospital campuses in the Southern Indianapolis region. Each recently completed multi-million dollar expansions and renovations, including new cancer and maternity centers.

Valle Vista Health System and Adult and Child Health serve the mental health needs of Johnson County and the Southern Indianapolis community, while Windrose Health Network provides affordable access to care for everyone.​

Networks to leading researchers at Indiana University School of Medicine and Riley Hospital for Children are integrated within our local physician community.
