Franciscan Health Fresh Start Market Hosting Grill, Chill & Stay Safe Event on July 2 in Greenwood
Franciscan Health’s Fresh Start Market in Greenwood is hosting an event in early July to provide groceries to those experiencing food insecurity while offering summer safety education for the whole family.
The Grill, Chill & Stay Safe event will provide frozen hamburger patties, hot dogs, buns and watermelons in addition to other food options for Fresh Start Market shoppers.
Franciscan is also teaming up with community partners to promote summer safety education and awareness for those from birth to age 18, during the special Fresh Start Market event. Safety topics include water, fireworks, vehicles, vaping and more.
The Fresh Start Market in Greenwood allows those in need to shop free of charge. In addition to supplying food, the various Franciscan Health Fresh Start Markets in Indiana work to identify the underlying causes and health implications of food insecurity with education, nutrition and recipes.
The Grill, Chill & Stay Safe event will take place on Thursday, July 2, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Franciscan Health Sierra Building, located at 1040 Sierra Drive in Greenwood.
The event is presented by the Franciscan Health Foundation in partnership with Gleaners Food Bank.
