Franciscan Health Hosting Series of SHE Women’s Health Conferences in Central Indiana
Events aim to uplift, empower Central Indiana women
Franciscan Health is introducing the SHE (Strong • Healthy • Empowered) Women’s Health Series to Central Indiana. The series is a statewide initiative dedicated to advancing the health and well-being of women across Indiana.
This multi-week series will take place in September, October and November, bringing together healthcare experts, community partners and women of all ages for education, connection, and empowerment.
“SHE is designed to create opportunities for women to thrive,” said Danielle Crowder, director of Community Health Improvement at Franciscan Health. “By connecting women with the resources, support and compassionate care they need, we are investing in healthier families, stronger communities, and brighter futures.”
The first conference is set for Saturday, Sept. 19 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the University of Indianapolis, Schwitzer Student Center, located at 1400 East Hanna Ave. in Indianapolis with the theme, “Empowered Through Every Transition.”
This conference will feature an engaging and supportive experience focused on understanding perimenopause and menopause. Attendees will learn to separate fact from fiction, reduce stigma and gain valuable knowledge about the physical, emotional and lifestyle changes that can occur during this stage of life. Participants will also be able to connect with experts and peers, discover practical resources and build supportive relationships that empower and advocate for health and well-being.
The second conference is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 3 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, located at 900 Indianapolis Road in Mooresville with the theme “Thriving Through Life’s Transitions Together.”
This portion of the series will focus on learning how healthy family dynamics, supportive social connections and intentional self-care contribute to emotional well-being and personal growth. Attendees will be part of a welcoming environment where women can gain practical guidance, share experiences and discover ways to build resilience and lasting wellness.
The final conference is Thursday, Nov. 5 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Franciscan Health Information Services offices, located at 1500 Albany St. in Beech Grove with the theme, “Growing, Thriving and Taking Charge of Your Health.”
This session is designed to support young women in building a strong foundation for lifelong health and well-being. Participants will explore topics such as healthy relationships, self-advocacy, mental wellness and navigating life’s transitions with confidence. Those in attendance will have access to valuable resources, gain practical knowledge and build meaningful relationships in a welcoming and supportive environment. Translation services will be available to accommodate diverse language needs.
The SHE series will feature evidence-based presentations, interactive workshops, community-centered experiences, exhibitors, health screenings, refreshments, giveaways and more.
