Franklin College alumni, friends and members of the campus community came together in extraordinary fashion for the college’s thirteenth annual day of giving, #GivetoGRIZ, on Wednesday, April 16. The result was the most impactful giving day in the college’s history, raising $358,985, soaring past the original goal of $250,000. The money raised supports the Franklin Fund, which enables programming throughout the institution.

“The overwhelming response to #GivetoGRIZ is a testament to the commitment of our alumni and friends to the mission and momentum of Franklin College,” said Franklin College President Kerry N. Prather. “These gifts are investments in the transformational education we provide and in the future of every student who walks our campus.”

Nora Brems, vice president for institutional advancement, echoed that sentiment, highlighting the collective impact. “The generosity of our loyal donors year after year is inspiring,” said Brems. “Every single gift—no matter the size—helps create opportunity for our students and reinforces the core values that make Franklin College such a special place.”

Elwood Staffing and RepuCare were major sponsors for the 2025 campaign.

The one-day giving challenge began in 2013, raising $14,500 from 137 donors. Since then, it has grown significantly each year in both participation and impact—reflecting the college’s expanding community of philanthropic champions.

Although this year’s #GivetoGRIZ event has concluded, supporters can still contribute to the Franklin Fund through June 30, the end of the college’s fiscal year. To give online, visit franklincollege.edu/give or call (317) 738-8040.
