Member Profile: Clarity of Central Indiana

Offering Hope and Healing for 40 Years
Clarity began in 1986 as a small crisis pregnancy center in Columbus, Indiana. At that time, the ministry was known as Abba Crisis Pregnancy Center and was founded by caring individuals who wanted to give women facing an unplanned pregnancy a safe place for support. With a staff of one, Abba offered free pregnancy tests and a listening ear to women navigating some of life’s most difficult decisions.
Nearly 40 years later, Abba has become Clarity of Central Indiana, a thriving network of eight pregnancy centers serving multiple counties across central Indiana. Today, Clarity provides a wide range of services including pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, STI testing and treatment, limited women’s health and prenatal care, parenting education, and material support for women, men, and children. Clients can receive maternity clothing, diapers, wipes, car seats, pack-’n-plays, and much more—all at no cost.
Clarity’s impact is made possible by a dedicated team of more than 30 staff members, including center directors, three registered nurses who are also certified sonographers, and an education team that teaches sexual risk avoidance and healthy relationship choices to students in grades 6 through 12 across 70 public schools each year. The ministry also includes fundraisers, administrative and support staff, a male advocate team who walks alongside men in their journey through fatherhood, and a restoration team that offers hope and healing to those who have experienced sexual trauma, pregnancy loss, or a past abortion.
This life-changing work is funded by generous community donors—businesses, individuals, and churches—who believe in supporting women, men, and families through every stage of life. Over the decades, Clarity has grown both in breadth and depth—expanding from one small office into a comprehensive ministry dedicated to caring for the whole person. What began as a single act of compassion in 1986 continues today as a vibrant mission to help individuals and families find hope, healing, and the truth that you matter.
