Mutual Savings Bank is proud to announce a $60,000 grant to the Johnson County Community Foundation (JCCF) to support housing initiatives throughout Johnson County. The grant is made possible through the bank's participation in the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis' Community Multiplier – Member Match program.

The Community Multiplier program helps member financial institutions increase their investment in local communities by providing matching grant funds for affordable housing initiatives. Through this partnership, Mutual Savings Bank is helping provide resources to address housing needs in Johnson County.

"At Mutual Savings Bank, we believe that investing in our community means investing in its future," said Dave Coffey, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mutual Savings Bank. "We are proud to partner with the Johnson County Community Foundation to support an initiative that has the potential to make a lasting difference for individuals and families throughout our county."

The grant will support JCCF's new Attainable Housing initiative, which focuses on improving opportunities for homeownership throughout Johnson County. Through a collaborative approach involving local financial institutions, municipalities, employers and housing organizations, the initiative will explore opportunities to address housing needs, including assessing workforce housing, developing potential funding resources and identifying partnerships that can make a lasting impact.

Kim Kasting, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Johnson County Community Foundation, emphasized the importance of collaboration in addressing housing needs.

"We are grateful to Mutual Savings Bank and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis for investing in housing initiatives in Johnson County," said Kasting. "The $60,000 grant from Mutual Savings Bank represents an important first step in building the partnerships and momentum needed to address our community's complex housing challenges."

Community Multiplier – Member Match is a matching grant program available through participating member financial institutions of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis (FHLBank Indianapolis). The program provides matching funds of up to $60,000, with a minimum 25% commitment from the participating financial institution, to support targeted affordable housing initiatives in Indiana and Michigan.
