Registration Opens for Popular Bargersville Holiday Railroad Fence Lighting Contest

Registration is open for Light the Line, the community railroad fence decorating contest featured during Bargersville’s Yuletide on Baldwin holiday celebration.
This is the second year for the family-friendly Light the Line contest. Individuals, families, businesses, schools, and other organizations are invited to decorate the railroad fence panels on Main Street with festive holiday designs. Each entrant may decorate two or four 8-foot panels. Electrical outlets are provided.
Yuletide on Baldwin is on Friday, December 4, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The town will lip the switch on its downtown lighting display at 7:00 p.m. Santa will arrive an hour earlier, at 6:00 p.m. The event will include entertainment, confectionery treats, a kids’ train ride, free hot cocoa and more.
Participation in Light the Line is free for individuals and nonproit groups; there is a $25 fee for businesses and organizations that include branded or promotional content. The 2025 winner featured the story of the movie Elf.
Registration is open through November 15. Panels will be available for decoration beginning Saturday, November 7, through Sunday, November 29. Downtown visitors will vote for the best displays between December 4-13. The winners will be announced on December 14, and the winner’s name will be added to the coveted Light the Line trophy.
