Voices from the Past: Storyteller Series Colonial Printer Film, Fact, Fiction: Jurassic Park
People of all ages are invited to our 3rd Storyteller Program of the year. Rich Gotshall will portray a colonial printer and discuss their importance during the Revolutionary War on Saturday, August 8th, at 1:30 pm. This program is part of the museum’s America’s 250th Celebrations. The event is free and open to the public and is co-sponsored by the Johnson County Public Library.
Join us later that evening for a Film, Fact, and Fiction program on the film “Jurassic Park” at 6:00. Museum staff will explore the accomplishments of famous early 20th century paleontologist Elmer Riggs, who was from Trafalgar in Johnson County. Library staff will discuss the work of author Michael Crichton. The movie will be shown afterwards at the Historic Artcraft Theatre. Please note you will have to buy a ticket separately for the film, but the program at the museum is free.
